My Story
It felt like one exhausting day at work after another. It was as if I was drowning, like I couldn't breathe, gasping for more air, but never catching my breath. I kept pushing through, convincing myself I can handle it, until I couldn't. Then, one evening, I cried the whole drive home; I walked into the kitchen and looked at my husband in defeat while I said the words I never thought I would ever say: "I'm quitting my job."
At 45, burnout had finally caught up with me. What most people didn't see was how long I had been carrying it. Burnout doesn't just crash into your life overnight; it sneaks in quietly until suddenly you realize you're already suffocating. On the outside, I kept showing up; doing what was expected, over performing, over-achieving. But on the inside, I was running on empty, losing control of my own life. That evening in my kitchen was my breaking point, but it was also my turning point.
Accepting burnout was hard but it forced me to face the truth...that I couldn't do it alone. Through coaching, I found renewed strength, perspective, and balance. I also realized I was worthy of support and investing in myself. If you've ever been there, know this: Burnout isn't the end. It's a signal to reset, regain control, and reprioritize what matters most. Rest is not weakness, it's fuel. Boundaries are not selfish, they're the foundation for resilience. The moment I said "I'm quitting" wasn't about giving up—it was about finally choosing myself.

For most of my career, I thought resilience meant pushing through no matter what. But overtime, the weight of constant demands, the loss of control, and the emotional exhaustion became too heavy. I didn't realize it then, but I was experiencing burnout. And it shook me to the core.
What saved me was discovering the power of coaching. Coaching gave me space to breathe, reflect, and rediscover why I entered healthcare in the first place. It wasn't just about fixing the burnout—it was about preventing it. Coaching showed me that resilience isn't about enduring at all costs; it's about staying grounded, protecting your energy, and leading with clarity. I've grown from a frontline nurse to a healthcare executive, but my purpose has stayed the same: to support others. Today, my mission is to help as many people as possible avoid the burnout I once faced and instead, live with renewed strength, passion, and fulfillment.
